Ecija owns an exclusive collection system to ensure quality and work safety during the process of obtaining rubber tire waste. All impurities (such as metal and contaminants) are removed from collected material. Subsequently, they are classified according to different cuts and sizes through an internationally recognized treatment process.
The company has all local licenses to operate regionally, as well as fire brigade licenses and others certifications issued by environmental organizations, such as the Environmental Institute of Paraná (IAP) and the Brazilian Institute of Environment and Natural Renewable Resources (IBAMA). Ecija has taken the lead in promoting ecosystem development and protection. It is a Brazilian company focused on maintaining a transparent relationship with suppliers and committed to offering valuable product to costumers every day.
Ecija has been specialized in collecting and recycling waste tires since 1992. In 2002, the company introduced a new selective collection of rubber buffing to the retreaders. Using a clean and safe system, Ecija has made it possible to ensure proper disposal, recycling and the reuse of rubber retread as raw material.
Ecija is current processing up to 10,000 tons of rubber every year on its 7,000 m² space, located in the metropolitan region of Curitiba, southern Brazil.
